To charge fully I boot the OF and wait for the battery sign to stop moving, i admit shamefully that i don't know how to tell if rockbox have finished charging

Just for reference, last.fm logging shouldn't make any measurable difference to battery life. The writes to the logfile are buffered and only get written out when the disk is spun up for some other reason (rebuffering, or because you are accessing the disk via the UI).

So you get about 10.5 hours (not the 6 you said before).  Given that the wiki says most people seem to get about 12, with a not brand new battery that doesn't seem too bad.

Also, that 10.5 is from starting not entirely full (but near).

yeah i know, but i swear that previously i got 6 hours at most, i really think that maybe some of the themes may consume more battery than others. anyway, 10 hours seem very reasonable so i think i will stick with rockbox for a while, it's too gold to let it go away I hope nothing unwanted will happen.

And for that sake, the battery is 3 months old

I seem to remember that on some platforms Rockbox beats the OF for battery life - now that's impressive!

BTW I committed something pointed out by bertrik yesterday which should give a bit more battery life.

I only tested on my Clipv1 but it should work on all models using the SI4700 FM (Unless the FM chip was already powered down)
