iPod 5.5G: how's the clickwheel sensitivity in rockbox?
(1/1)
sudoman:
I'm thinking of getting an iPod 5.5G and putting rockbox on it. my only concern is that when testing this model's click-wheel on the apple firmware, it seemed slow and sometimes even unresponsive.
does the rockbox firmware have better sensitivity for the click-wheel on your 5.5G ipod?
thanks! ;D
Buschel:
Well, I cannot really compare rockbox' sensitivity to the Apple firmware -- I never used the Apple firmware and just directly installed rockbox. 8)
But you might of course change the sensitivity in code very easily, if it is not high enough for your purposes. Take a look at the clickwheel driver in firmware/target/arm/ipod and search for "sensitivity" -- it is all well documented. ;D
kage:
I have never had any issues with sensitivity on my 5.5G clickwheel...
the only thing that I wish was a TAD bit more sensitive is the button "taps" on the rockboy emulator, but that can be fixed by just using the pad of your finger instead of the tip...
I think the sensitivity is just about up there with the apple firmwear...
