my ipod nano 2nd generation will not synchonised

I found that the iLoader's boot menu is much simpler.

It also allows booting into Apple's firmware by pressing Rewind... or another alternative firmware by pressing Fast Forward.

And USB mode is a simple center button press.

Of course, once the flash woes are rectified, it won't be necessary... but it's nice to see someone came up with a quick fix.
