nirvana:
hi to all users rockbox .. I installed rockbox on my ipod nano 2nd generation 2GB and I'm very satisfied with the results. but I have a problem since I installed my rockbox ipod nano no longer recognized by my computer nor itunes and I was that my usb ports are going very bien.j 'I thought the problem was my cable so I decided to change the ipod cable and it's always the same problem but what surprises me is that when I b
ranch to my pc my ipod to load because it shows how media. so I question why my ipod is not recognized by my computer. This is due to the fact that I installed rockbox on my ipod nano 2nd generation and it is still an imperfect software for it or is it that I forgot to download something or make an adjustment. how do I fix this? is there a solution? thank you in advance and I admire the work you do?

I moved your topic to General Discussion since it doesn't seem to involve recording.
Do you also have problems connecting via USB if you boot Apple's firmware first?
pixelma:
I believe I read that there are some problems with the USB HID feature active at the same time when you connect a 2nd generation Nano to USB. There is an option to turn it off under "General Settings > System > USB HID".
Note that I'm not a 100% sure but I guess it's worth a try and doesn't hurt.
farleytron:
I ended up using "iLoader" as the bootloader because the Rockbox USB/Flash code can cause a loss of all the data on the Nano 2G.
After losing all my songs and files for the fifth time using USB while in Rockbox, I switched to iLoader.
Any time I want to charge the Nano, or add files, I simply use the center button at the bootloader menu to put the iPod into disk mode.

Chronon:
If USB mode is suspect in Rockbox you can always just boot into the Apple firmware for USB connection. It shouldn't be necessary to use a 3rd party bootloader.
