Didn't really know a better place to post this; but I just wanted to thank the Rockbox team for their efforts; my iPod and Sansa e250 were relegated to the back of my junk drawer until I found out that Rockbox has an automated installer (tried a little more than a year ago and succeeded only in bricking the iPod) - now together with podget my Linux-hosted audio library is portable again.

It is impossible to brick an ipod with Rockbox - unless there is a hardware failure it is always possible to restore it in the unlikely event of something going wrong
