48kHz problem h120
« on: February 04, 2010, 09:01:59 AM »
I have a problem with sound while the digital source 48khz and 96khz is connected. Sound is very metalich. With noticeable distortion. Is it normal? I have the same problems while decoding mp3 in 48KHz. On 44kHz and 88kHz is everything fine.

Rockbox resamples everything to 44.1KHz, and the resampler is not the highest possible quality.

Thats a shame. Such a good software. Is this very chard to change that? I know that hardware can manage 55KHz sampling.
Quote from the data sheet of UDA1380 "Supports sample frequencies from 8 to 55 kHz for the
ADC part, and 8 to 100 kHz for the DAC part."
