Problem with scrolling menus on iriver H10

(1/1)

delphi:
Hi,
I have a problem where when I turn the player on, the cursor keeps continuously scrolling through the menu until I press on the scroll pad and which point it stops until I release the scroll pad again and then it starts scrolling continuously again.
It's not a hardware fault, as when I put the original firmware back in place, it works fine, but I *really* want to you rockbox.
I have tried with the latest build of rockbox and the latest release 3.4 and the problem still happens.
Can anyone help please?

Thanks
Richard

That sounds kind of like an old problem I used to have with my H10 with its old stock battery when the battery would be nearly dead. I ended up replacing the battery and it hasn't done anything like that since even when the battery dies.

I don't know if that would solve your problem (assuming it still happens even when the player is fully charged) but it couldn't hurt to replace it anyway (assuming you're using the stock battery still and haven't already replaced it) in case it is a problem related to the battery being old and possibly worn out.

Hi,
Well, I have replaced the battery, fully discharged and re-charged both batterys and tried it with plugging it into the mains and still the same problem.
Why would this happen on the rockbox firmware and not on the original?

Hi,

I have the same problem. Sometimes when I turn on the H10, the menu is scrolling all the time, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. With reset and turning on again the problem remains.
If I push a button at the right moment, I manage to come into the play menu. Then the menu dosnt scroll any more.

Wenn I plug in the power supply, it works also.

Is there any help for this problem?
