No plugins in my build
« on: February 01, 2010, 01:28:17 PM »
I have followed the guide to compile Rockbox using Linux. No error but there is no plugins in the rocks folder and no rockbox.ipod file.  What's wrong with it?

I guess your build finished with a bunch of messages about it deleting bitmap temporary files; the actual error would've been before that, and has already scrolled off your screen. The build doesn't log to a file unless you make it log to one by redirecting the output...

Well, there was no log file created.

You can make one by copying and pasting the contents of your command window after compiling.

Who said that compiling would create a log *file*?

Here it is:
-------------------------------
Normal build selected
Using source code root directory: /Users/user/rockbox
Using arm-elf-gcc 4.0.3 (400)
Using arm-elf-ld 2.16.1
Created Makefile
Macintosh:build user$ make zip
cat: /Users/user/rockbox/build/apps/features: No such file or directory
Macintosh:build user$
--------------------------------
There was a error, so I back to rockbox directory. Compile it again.

I would recommend to actually compile rockbox before making the zip :-)

Its a 3 step process:
"../tools/configure/"
"make"
"make zip"
