usb behaviour

Hi
I experience a strange behaviour either with linux (ubuntu 9.10 64bit) and XP (sp3, 32 bit) related with the transfer between the USB.

I mean that if I copy from HD to the nano there is no problem
If I copy from a pendrive to the nano usually the trasfer stuck and thing probably goes wrong (restore with the iTunes sw) if I cant properly disconnect the nano

Is there a way to solve that?

I tried increasing the timeout in linux but that didn't work

that happens with each release (I'm newbie, I'm using rockbox since early january 2010) but I think that isn't a rock box issue as the error came from the cut&paste command, saying that the source doesn't exist... (some time nomore exists), i.e. the music file for istance
