iRiver iHP120 CF mod with Kingson 32gb Elite Pro x133 CF

Hi,

I followed the guide for modding the iRiver iHP120 with CF, however with RB (Jan 26, 2010 build with bootloader 7pre4) it hangs on the RB logo screen with my new Kingston 32gb Elite Pro x133 CF card using any boot mode selected.
disk (expected), ram, or rom.

Would it be possible to add support for this CF? is there any info you need for the card?

Try to use the official release version 3.4 and NOT the current build which is experimental. I don't know if it will make the difference but you can try.

We usually advise people to try the latest current build when they hit issues.

Not with bootloaders though, especially not on the iRiver H1xx/H3xx.

Is the player getting as far as displaying the rockbox logo athanato? Or is it hanging in the bootloader?

The problem with fiddling with the bootloaders for the H100 or H300 is that if you get it even slightly wrong you completely brick the player and need specialist hardware to recover.  As a result Rockbox bootloaders for these targets are stringently tested before release.

Unfortunately, the man who does this without fear of permanent brickage (LinusN) is on a sabbatical at the moment, so there are not likely to be any new releases of the bootloaders for these platforms for the foreseeable future. This means that if they don't work with whatever weird and wonderful mods you've done to your player, then you're completely out of luck for the time being.

No, soon as it tries to access the CF (after selecting a bootloder boot option) it times out with the ATA error message.
