I desperately need some help!
I was trying to install Rockbox on my iriver H340 and got it all messed up.
Here’s my sorry story:
I opened the Rockbox utility to do a Complete Installation, but that option on the Quick Start tab was grayed out and not available. However, selecting Actions > Quick Start > Complete Installation appeared to be available. Using this, I provided the 1.29K hex link and ran the installation. When I safely removed the player, rebooted, and did the firmware upgrade, the player would show the Rockbox bootloader screen for a second, but then go directly to the Korean software.
After looking around on the web, someone suggested changing the H300.hex name to h300.hex and reflashing the firmware. I did that and now I think I’m in deep trouble. Now, the player boots with the following text and then shuts down:
Rockbox boot loader
Version 5
Battery: 4.12 v
Loading firmware
Result: -1
I can get back to the Korean software by pressing Record and Start. However, NOW, the player is not recognized by my computer.
I checked the rockbox directory on the player and there doesn’t seem to be software there.
Did it ever get the stable 3.4 build?
How do I get access to the hard drive to fix this??
I’m hoping that someone can point me in the right direction…
Thanks in advance!

It looks like rbutil didnt correctly install rockbox itself. Did it show any error after you used the "Complete Install" option ?
To correct this, connect you player to USB while off, and the switch it on. You should be now in bootloader USB mode and see the player from the PC. Then use the "Install Rockbox" Button in rbutil, to install a fresh build.

Thanks for coming to my rescue!
Yes, the Bootloader USB mode came up and I was able to eventually see the player on my computer. This didn't work at first, but I rebooted everyone and unplugged/replugged the usb and it eventually appeared.
Then I opened the Rockbox utility and this time, from the Installation tab, I selected Install Bootloader. Again I directed it to the K1.29 hex on my computer and ran it. No error messages... Then I disconnected the H340, rebooted, did the firmware upgrade, and rebooted.
Now, I'm back to the original issue - The player boots with the Bootloader text, then goes blank for a split second and then starts the Korean software.
Do I need to go back the the Rockbox utility and do part 2 of the Installation tab - Install Rockbox?
Can I do it manually from here??
Sorry to be so long-winded, but this process is just not clear to me. And thanks again for helping!

Update - I installed the Current build from the Installer as it said this was "recommended" on my screen. I had it in my head that I wanted the "Stable" Release, but this was not an option. So I went with the Current and it worked!
Thanks for your help and for for keeping this Forum active and alive. It's the best!

Saw you already got it working, but for the record, your problem is here: you reinstalled the bootloader (which was unnecessary, as it already is successfully installed) but did not install the main build. Go back into Bootloader USB mode and install the main build using the Installation tab.
