Clip playback crashes
ShinMagus:
Hi! I got to know Rockbox last week and tested four builds on my 2-GB Sansa Clip. buffering_playback_v2, 24296 and 24312 don't let me manually switch to the next song - I imagine the playing thread hangs - and a cold boot is necessary before the Clip can play anything again. clip-loggingv3 works fine, but the logging file keeps growing and I need to delete it from time to time.
There are over 350 music files in my music folder and in the playlist. My config file has:
--- Code: ---shuffle: on
repeat: all
max files in playlist: 1000
max files in dir: 1500
--- End code ---
Thanks! :)
Edit: Gave you a title that made sense.
saratoga:
Does it work any better if you delete your config file?
What if you just play songs with a small number of files in a folder?
ShinMagus:
I just deleted the entire Rockbox folder and installed the latest build (24319 as of this post) anew and it worked. :-) Some leftover config line or file must have been getting in the way... Thanks!
saratoga:
If you turn shuffle back on does it break again?
ShinMagus:
No, I have shuffle on and repeat set to all and it works. I don't know what prompted the issue in the first place. Build 24296? Too little free space to work with? If the problem resurfaces after some change I make I'll report. :)
