I don't think something like that would be practical, given the exceedingly large number of images you'd need to have to have your clock be accurate. You'd probably exceed the image buffer for the WPS.
Sadly, as is often pointed out, Rockbox is not a democracy.
popular ?... Gosh, some guy just comes and tells you that Rockbox is not a democracy I don't see him discussing and telling what's wrong with the idea of having a possibility to visualize a clock...

I have already tried to make custom battery meters (from 00 to 99 percent using 17x17 digits in monochrome bmps) and they work like a charm!
