[SOLVED] Installing to C250 V2 ; File Not Found when loading Firmware.
ScottMartin:
My playback is uninterrupted and continuous. So I can say that it is working for me.
This is only after downgrading to the version that was given to me:
rockbox-sansac200v2-20100114.zip
Regards,
Scott.
funman:
I think c200v2 is the most problematic of the Sansa AMS targets which have this playback problem (Clipv1, m200v4, c200v2).
So far we haven't found reliable actions/workarounds to make playback work fine or not.
On the ABI forums some told they had great playback on Clipv1 when not skipping any track, others told they had problems, some told the bitrate had effects etc...
But in the end I think each person had found some workaround but it would change with rockbox updates...
If you find a way to have somehow stable playback, I'd say stick with the current version you use, and share it anyway so maybe we could find some pattern which affects playback if everybody can confirm your results.
Just don't expect too much from c200v2 though.
Note: what does "alloc" say if you go in system->debug->buffering thread?
My Clipv1 says 0/394240 , so the audio buffer is 385kB, and I have very stable playback (these days, because it didn't use to be true).
I expect the c200v2 buffer to be much lower and I think this is the root of the problem.
ScottMartin:
Yes my alloc is very low compared to yours: 0/44592

Scott.
funman:
current builds should have a much higher buffer size: i disabled doom since it didn't work anyway and reduced the size available for plugins at the benefit of audio buffer
ScottMartin:
I have downloaded the latest version and it seems to be working just fine. I did have one song that it could not handle, kept jumping around .. but after 30 seconds, it went to the next track and has been fine for the past 2 hours.

Scott.
