Can't install with rbutil on an e200v2
rwburbage:
Well... Im totally confused from looking at all of the work. Can anyone help with a project. Im trying to get RB to work on an e250 v03.01.16a. It doesn't load with the utility. It has an error during bootloader. I'm not able to attach the log file in this post. if someone wants to see it I can email it to you. rwburbage@msn.com
I started a thread about the project idea I have here. http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=23589.0
I would like to get the bootloaded working then move to adding the patch.
Help mentioned a patch that will allow the player to play one track in an album and then stop. Then I can press play to advance to the next one and then stop.
So, if anyone can guide me through this, I would be greatful. Rich
Edit: Gave you a title that made sense.

Well, without the error message it's not really possible to tell what's going on but I'm not going to ask you. Either put the needed information in the first place or find out yourself.

My E280v2 is having the same problem, it has v03.01.16a installed also.
The error message is attached, thanks for the help! Rockbox works great on my E280v1 but I can't get it on my wife's E280v2. Thanks again! - Bill

From the error log i can see that you gave it the wrong file when it asks for a original firmware file.
It looks like you pointed it to the rockbox.zip file instead of a downloaded original firmware file. :-)
Take a look at the wiki if you have problems finding a original firmware file.

Thank you for the help. When I downloaded and ran the installer, I selected the E200 v2 series, I chose complete installation, the program wanted a .bin file if I remember right, so I went and downloaded the current build (r24289) extracted it to a folder then pointed the installer to that folder where it accepted the file.
So, is there a file I have that I did not extract? Or am I still way off target? What is the name of the file the installer utility wants?
Thanks again!
Bill
