30 GB iPod Video Dead?
« on: January 13, 2010, 04:15:08 AM »
I'm not sure where to put this, so I hope I got this right. I have a 30 GB iPod Video, and today I decided to try installed Rockbox on it. I did so, and ejected it, and looked through the settings a bit. Then I went to the Database, and it asked me to initialize it, which I did. After it finished scanning, it told me to reboot. At this point I held Play and turned off the iPod. After trying to turn it back on... I couldn't. I pressed every button I could find, and in addition to that, when I plug my iPod into the computer, nothing happens. Can someone please help me?

Use the hard-reset button combination (Hold Menu and Select for about 10 seconds). That should power it back on.
