Can't get into disk mode on ipod (was: HELP)

im sorry if this doesn't go here
i have a problem I do everything that it's in the manual
and now my screen ii in black
and with  white letter
say error
Hold MENU+SELECT to
rebot then SELECT+PLAY
for disk mode
haaa!
help i push al the ***** buttons and nothing happen

Keep trying, that combo does work.  If you really can't get it, try google.  I believe Apple has instructions explaining the process in more detail.
