M4A skipping on Sansa e280

Hello;

Songs purchased from the iTunes Store are now in M4A format, now that DRM has been removed I believe.  These songs have skips in their playback on a Rockboxed Sansa e280 (RB 3.4).  If converted to MP3, they play fine.

I've seen old (~3 year) posts saying that playback of M4A files at 128 kbps is a problem ... is this still the case?

You don't mention what settings you may have changed from the default, or anything else. So it's impossible for anyone to tell you whether you should expect skipping under your conditions or not.
