You're probably the only PPC linux user we have.  Compile a binary and put up a download link and maybe someone can put it on the download server for you.

Here's a binary. I'm not very experienced with building, but it seemed like it would work. I had mount issues with the ipod, though, so it couldn't find it. I think it's an fstab problem or something. I guess this is better than nothing, though.

For potentially future googlers in a Linux PPC environment, you need to execute ipod patcher through a terminal with sudo. An example:

sudo ./ipodpatcher -wf

is to write the firmware to the ipod.
