Kalbintion:
I'm sorry, please specify WHICH step/rule i missed? Because I do not see what one it is.

AlexP:

--- Quote ---2. Use your real name as WikiName in the form FirstnameLastname. I.e., if your first name is "Joe" and your last name is "Doe" then your wiki name has to be "JoeDoe".
--- End quote ---

So your wiki name should be AnthoniWiese and not AnthoniW.

Kalbintion:
We're getting a bit off-topic but that's fine with me. Have the wiki devs thought about modifying the code to either disable that text field, or removing it completely and just forcing it (ie: direct call to the database to concatenate both first and last name) to be the first name last name set up that the user enters, that way the user can't modify it at all? Guaranteeing it to be in the proper format each time?

Llorean:
Users will still often choose to just put in their last initial or first initial or both. Many people don't like putting their real name in forms, so there will always be a subset of the population who will find themselves having done it wrong because they simply didn't read everything.

Not only that, but the idea of a first name and a last name is not universal. We don't want to break the registration for people just because their name happens not to match modern western expectations.
