Summary of Rockbox SVN updates for the past few months?
« on: December 27, 2009, 10:44:45 PM »
After bricking my Sansa e250 a few months (IIRC ~6) ago, I just got a USB cable for my iPod, so would someone be so kind as to tell me what all of the medium-major updates to the SVN have been for the past few months? Stuff such as new plugin, plugin x has y as in improvement, new features, new formats, etc?
Thanks.
(I'll try not to btick this one :P)

http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes33 and
http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/ReleaseNotes34 will give you the major changes. Otherwise just browse down this for ALL the changes: http://www.rockbox.org/recent.shtml#svn

Cool, thanks! I think my e250 bricked right after 3.3 and I know 3.4 is pretty recent so I'll read 3.4's release notes!

There's also http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/MajorChanges which might be pretty interesting too :)

Cool.

Off-Topic: Does anyone else have problems encoding videos for PluginMpegPlayer with VLC 1.0? I have to keep a copy of 0.99 because 1.0 throws errors "Failed to open the encoder"  ???

EDIT:
Nevermind... I discovered that it only works if I put 25 as the framerate. Which is weird because 15 worked fine in WinFF...
What's the lowest framerate MPEG2 supports?

MPEG2 doesn't technically support frame rates lower than I think 24. But it's possible to encode files with lower ones (and mpegplayer will play them) but not all encoders will let you use the "invalid" frame rates.
