Total Runtime

I think that it would be nice feature to add 'total runtime' to the runtime screen after 'runtime' and 'top time' displays. As it says it would display cumulative time you have used your player. I know it is little bit useless, but anyway it's something nice to brag your friends about. It also gives you rought estimation how used is the players battery.

And if this idea goes to developement then it would be nice if that total time doesn't get reseted everytime you update rockbox.

I like this idea as well.

Hopefully there is a developer that agrees (and agrees to invest the time).

Perhaps some type of "trip" odometer would be another useful item.  The runtime would go on, until reset (separate from the reset of the total runtime).  I don't know that this is essential, but it is just a neat toy.

I can't see this being terribly controversial, someone "just" needs to do it.
