sansa c250 No sound playing files, but FM radio has sound (in OF & RB)

MORT:
As the title states, I have a sansa c250 that only gives me sound when using the FM tuner.
No sound at all from playing MP3 or any other files.
This happens in both Rockbox and in the original Sansa firmware.

Hardware problem ?

The radio is goes through a lot less of the codec chip, so probably something upstream of the radio failed.  I doubt that can be fixed.
