New Features for the Themesite

<< < (6/10) > >>

GodEater:
Some people might like it though. People are weird.

So long as they work on a device, I see no reason not to list them across multiple DAPs.

Biont:
I wouldn't want to stop iPod users from using my theme, but just listing it in the iPod Video section suggests that it was made specifically for the the iPod, which it absolutely isn't.

And I don't want to have iPod users complaining about a Cowon D2 theme because half of the stuff mentioned in the decription does not work.

I need to update the theme anyway, now that that's possible without too much struggle, so I might edit the description so that it is clear that the theme is designed for touch screens. But then again, it sounds stupid to list a theme on the iPod Video site, which says "Don't use this on your iPod unless you really really need to"

hm... :-\

(EDIT: WTF....now there are 50 votes instead of 5. How on earth did that happen?)

Domonoky:
Please only suggest new features (or bug fixes) here.

Please do not clutter this thread with discussion if a feature makes sense for you or not.
Only those people really doing the work are allowed to decide if we implement a feature or not :-)

EDIT:
Another feature in. Sorting by Submitted time, Name, Author, Ranking, and Download count. :-)

I think this comment needs to be revisited. Even though it is the case that Biont's D2 theme technically loads on the iPod Video, there are currently several instances where a theme shared between different devices' theme sites do not actually work on every device they appear for. Take the iriver H120 themes page, for instance: Despite the H120 being a black-and-white target with a screen size of 160x128 pixels, the page lists four themes made for color targets (Autobot Glass v1.4, UniCatcherv32, simple, and Simple Green), one of which isn't even the correct screen size (UniCatcherv32 is 220x176 pixels).

Would you say this qualifies as a bug, Domonoky? I can list more instances like this if it helps...

Another one down. :-)

Users can now update their themes, if they submit a theme with the same name, author, email and lcdsize. The old one gets hidden when the uploader verifies the email.

Thanks for this long awaited features. One thing though, I just updated my AW140 theme (iPod Photo) and the download counter was reset to zero... perhaps it's intended to work like that (?), I think it would be better if the download stats history wouldn't be erased
