aaah, ok, I understand. I will try it today and let you know if there is any improvement :-)

edit: I've tried it - it works very well... so RockBox for playing with headphones and OF for using it as external storage for my radio :-)

Hmm... this doesn't sound good for me. 

I need a new car head unit and was hoping to use Rockbox'd ipod with it.  OF won't be an option because all the files are FLAC.

Well I guess a front panel aux-in is going to be important.
