Cowon D2 support in Rockbox Utility is already implemented (by me - will be happy to get some feedback if anything needs fixing).
The new version will be distributed when the next version of Rockbox will be released. Unfortunately, if you can't wait for the new version, you must compile rbutil yourself if you must use it to install RB on the D2, or ask people on IRC to supply you with rbutil binary.

If you have enough patience, the new version is about to be released in a few weeks :-)

Oh, we are planning a new release? Interesting :)

I've uploaded a current svn build for Windows and Mac. No support, guarantees or whatever, but if you want to try it get it here: http://www.alice-dsl.net/dominik.riebeling/rockbox/ Feedback is of course always welcome.

What are all the talking about freezing etc? Aren't we going to release before/during/after Christmas?

Thanks!!! I've updated the Cowon D2 wiki page accordingly:

That is Rockbox, not necessarily Rockbox Utility.

That is Rockbox, not necessarily Rockbox Utility.

I know that, but on last Rockbox releases, the utility was also tagged and released. I hope it will be done also for next version (this was my assumption here), as some new targets were added and quite a lot of changes had been made for it  8)
