Cover art: BMP vs JPG
« on: November 22, 2009, 11:48:49 AM »
My cover art is all in BMP format as JPG support has only been introduced recently.

Just wondering whether it would be worth using JPG instead. Is BMP format faster or take less system resources?

It would be relatively straightforward for me to switch as I have all the JPG's also, just not on my iPod (Video 30GB).

Thanks!

JPG support has been in for nearly 6 months... hardly recent :)
BMP is bigger files, simpler to load, and uses exactly the same amount of memory (once loaded for a file) than JPG...

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.
