Battery section in manual
« on: November 22, 2009, 02:34:08 AM »
It shows in the manual at least for the iPod color that you can set it to charge during usb connection.  I only see the battery capacity now and not the other menu.  I only ask as I was trying to copy some items off the iPod that was connected and it shut down as it did not have enough battery capacity left to copy the files but it was connected by USB and should have been charging the whole time.  I know then I have it plugged in using the apple firmware it charges the iPod.  I have looked through other menu's and I can not find this option any longer.

The iPods, other than the Nano 2G, do not charge properly from USB at present; there is no option in the menus for this, the manual is wrong (only the iRiver h300 and the iPod Nano 2G have this option).

They do charge when connected, but only at a very slow rate which is not sufficient to keep the battery topped up while the disk is being accessed. You will have to use the OF's disk mode if this is a problem, until this is fixed.

I'll correct the manual.

Edit: done.
