How can I shuffle my entire library?

(1/1)

tomreid:
Hi Guys, hopefully this is a really simple question, but I can't figure out how to do this:

I have around 10 000 songs on my iPod Video 5.5, I just loaded the latest Rockbox release.

How do I set it to play any one of the 10 000 songs at random, i.e. shuffle the entire library?

cheers

One way is to create a playlist from the root folder on your device and then play this playlist with shuffle mode turned on.

There are other ways to accomplish this.  You can learn more by reading the Rockbox manual.  A link can be found in the navigation panel on the left of this screen.

Zoea:
- Go into "Database" (and wait for the database to build if it's the first time you've used it)
- Highlight "Track" and show the context menu (long SELECT, normally)
- Select "Playlist" > Insert Shuffled

Credit to some other user who I googled here. This is the easiest way for me.
