Quick question
« on: November 08, 2009, 09:48:23 PM »
Will there ever be a Rockbox made for Ipod Nano 4g?  It's the only ipod I have, and apparently Rockbox isn't conpatible. Is a Rockbox being developed, better yet is it even possible? Please respond.

there has been some code done for it. You can check Linux 4 nano (http://home.gna.org/linux4nano/ ). For the status of the port: http://l4n.clustur.com/index.php/Status

Just a reminder that Rockbox does *not* estimate release dates. Although I would guess that it will be atleast 1 year before a working port is done, it could be a lot more, it could be sooner, or might not even happen.

It all depends on the developers interest and if the software and hardware cooperate accordingly. If you wanted you might even be able to help do some testing or coding.

But bear in mind that there is no code in SVN yet. But even there, code in SVN doesn't mean that you can use a port right away.
