Rockbox on sansa e200 without original Firmware

as the title says, is it possible to run rockbox without having the sansa firmware?

I think so.  You can use sansapatcher to install the rockbox bootloader over the OF's bootloader (see sansapatcher help).  Of course if you remove the sandisk software you lose recovery mode, which will mean linux + e200tool if you ever screw things up.

Besides, Rockbox Utility does only support the "standard", i.e. dual-boot install on e200. You need to use sansapatcher for such a setup.
