Having an issue with the calendar plugin ! { Resolved }
« on: November 01, 2009, 08:00:45 PM »
The calendar function in the plugins is off by 4 days.
Example today (11-1-09) I recompiled the bootloader and a normal build. I updated and still have the 4 day issue. I an using an Onda VX747.
I have tried messing with the calendar.c file and recompiling the normal build to no avail. So I realized that I need someones help.
If any one knows what value to change in the calendar function please post the code or point me in the right direction.

I tried searching, although I was unsuccessful in finding the solution on my own.
Thanks in advance for any help.  :)

Is your device's clock set to the proper date and time?

Yes it is. It seems that the calendar plugin is not using the system date.

Edit:
So does this plugin work on any of the targets ?

It works fine on the Sansa e200.

What revision of Rockbox are you using?  There were some fixes to rtc in r23531 and r23536 that may have corrected this problem.  If you are using a version 3.4 or a daily build older than these, you might try updating to see if the problem has been corrected.

I took your advice and complied ver. 23621 and I still have the issue,
Today is Nov-Friday 13th calendar shows it as Tuesday.
Hmmm this is proving to be tougher than I originally thought.  ???

Does the System=>Time & Date->Set Time/Date show the correct day?

Can you test to see where this might have started?  This could possibly help us to track down the bug faster.

It is probably best to open a bug report on the Flyspray bug tracker.  Be sure to include as much info as possible.

The plugin works on my e280 and my Gigabeats as well.  It gives the same date and time as the system clock.  Since your system clock is correct it doesn't sound like strictly a RTC problem.

My 5G iPod video with 3.4 was initially doing the same thing, showing about 3 days out(showing Thursday instead of Sunday), despite the date and month and year been set correctly. I fixed it by going into system > date time, and resetting the date. That cured it.
