Sansa E200 (v1) - USB Problem. Can not access files or reformat. Please HELP??!?

Yes.

I also did the bit where you put in the .MI4 file, plus the sansa.fmt. But, now, when I turn it on it shows the Sansa load screen, then it freezes there. I have to hold down the power button to release it, then it locks at the "Goodbye" screen.

At this point, I am wondering if I am not better off just buying another one, as this is starting to sound like a bloody hopeless cause at this point.  :(
