Sansa Fuze V1 USB charge

So when I charge my fuze it switches to original firmware mode;
BUT.. if I plug it in, during boot up, it shows a rockbox
connection screen...... and I can charge in rockbox (no data access)
it even displays the name of my last played song,
but no sound!?!?

so is there any way I can listen to music(in rockbox) and charge at the same time?

Once Rockbox has booted, press and hold the select (center) button and insert the USB cable.  This will put the Fuze into charging mode and allow normal operation.

so was that other mode, some kind of experimental Usb connect mode???

There is a known bug where plugging in the USB at the wrong time may cause problems.  It is listed on the bug tracker here: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/9957
