nano 2G won't write to disc

(1/1)

CptKronos:
I installed r23378-091028.  It boots up just fine and plus into my XP system via USB (shows as a removable disk).

However, I can't copy to the ipod.  In windows, it shows as 0 GB available, and it gives me an error that it can't find the path when I try to paste to it.  Maybe there's a setting in the preferences that I am missing?  One other note:  it says "multimedia mode" when plugged in to USB, and has a picture of a USB plug.

I am having the same issue with disconnect, as well.  I disconnect in windows.  Then when I pull the USB cable, it goes white screen, says "panic, mount: 0".  I can hard reboot the nano just fine, but it happens everytime.  I can live with this issue until a new version, but I can't use it if it won't copy files.   :(

Anyone have suggestions?

Thx.

EDIT:  I saw what the previous poster mentioned about using disc mode in ipod firmware.  I already had that enabled, so I booted into ipod mode and dragged three FLAC files.  They show up as files in rockbox, and they play (but it says "playlist control error -4" everytime it tries to load the first file).  I am guessing it has issues with the database, as everytime I try to load it, it says "reboot to enable".  I reboot, then it tells me to reboot if I click database again.

Chronon:
I moved the topic because it doesn't appear to be a hardware issue.
