Rockbox for Nano 4th gen????

Sorry if this has already been covered but.........is anybody working on Rockbox (or any other firmware replacement) for the 4th Gen nano's?

All I keep reading on the net is it can't be done due to encryption or that it's just not worth the effort.  Really?  I know the itouch is out, but the 4th gen nano is still wildly selling everywhere.  Is Rockbox simply going to miss the boat on this model (and others)?

I'd love to donate to Rockbox if they had a version for this model. Anyway, really cool software if you have an old or select model. :-\

I'd really appreciate information on a firmware other than Apple's.

I think in theory the exploit for the 2G should work on the 4G but no one has really managed to make it work yet.   You can find some info here:
