Track tag Album Art
« on: October 25, 2009, 02:26:15 PM »
I would like to see Rockbox read the music track tag for displaying album art.

Do you mean display embedded album art?

Please note that this is not a feature *requests* forum, it is for the discussion of new features - i.e. people discuss how best to implement something.

???

While this is not a feature "request" forum, it has everything of a feature "suggestion" forum. Which is why the "Posting in this Forum" topic thread specifies there's "no guarantee" any work would be done, or that "new port" suggestions aren't accepted (ie, the other sorts *are* accepted).

This forum appeared at the exact time the feature/suggestion tracker disappeared.

MartyLK - No mistake, mate.  That said, support for embeded art has been asked a few times over already and it seems it's either too resource-intensive or too difficult/long to code because no one ever came forward with such a project.

And where is the discussion etc?  What was posted was a request, plain and simple.  People are more than welcome to discuss the best way a feature would work, how to best implement it etc., but just requesting things is not the function of this forum.

If theres nothing to discuss in threads like this I usually just delete or lock them.  Basically threads of the form:  "Do X for me" vs. ones of the form "How would be the best way to accomplish X?".
