Nano 2g 8GB,can't open any file

Nano 2g 8GB,show[Database is not ready initialize now]after  reboot again and again....
I have updated to the latest RB,and it still have this problem.and i can't use many program.
even credits can't be showd[print can not open .rockbox\....credits.rock]
but i can open credits.rock in file browser.
it seems that RB can't control 8GB models' nand flash nicely....
I try RB on my friend's nano 2 4G and 2G,they both work...
I found that 2G and 4G version use a intel or hynix nand, but 8G use two toshiba nand.

This seems like a hardware problem, then.  I'll move it to the hardware forum.

You should probably file a bug report for this too.

Which build are you using, by the way?

i update  to the latest build but it still not work.....and the problem seems worse,,now i can't open any file,for example,when i open a jpeg picture,show[Can't open /.rockbox/rocks/viewers/ipeg.rock].and all pugins have this problem,neither....But my nano2 is fine with the apple os.

I confirm all the problems you listed with my 8GB 2gen nano!!
With the build from 29th oct it was worth!! almost nothing worked: browsing files, playing games, and always this story of non initialized database...
