H120 Recording Length / time

(1/1)

toadyy:
Hi,  I have posted this on a different forum with no answer so I thought I would post it here.

I have an H120 I want to upgrade the firmware from iRiver 1.66 to RockBox. But I want to know what is the maximum recording length/time for an external mic can be recorded? Can I record 8-10hrs with no breaks to an mp3?  Thanks.

perfectdrug:
The only limitation is the maximum file size FAT32 can handle. (4GB)
So the answer is yes.

At which point a new file will be started, with a seamless transition

That's what I need to know.  thanks.

One more, can you change the sample rate?  I want to record voice at 64k.

You mean the mp3 encoding rate ?
Yes, you can record mp3 at 64 kbit/s (either mono or stereo)

For sampling frequency you can choose between 44.1 KHz and 22.05 kHz.
