AVH-P6000DVD and Rockbox

The Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD has a iPod Module accessory.  I have a Rockboxed iPod Video (30gb) connected to it.  So far, audio outputs fine, but no on screen controls are available through the receiver.  The receiver generates an "Error-11" and pauses my iPod.  Once I hit play again, it will continue playing my iPod uninterrupted.

I did, however, crank my car up once and it successfully pulled my music from my iPod and it could be controlled through the OSD on the receiver, but I have not been able to reproduce this.

Now, the question is, can we get full functionality from Rockbox to the Pioneer AVH-P6000DVD receiver?

Only some of the versions of the Apple accessory protocol have been reverse engineered, so if your device uses an unsupported version the only way you could get it to work would be to figure out the protocol its using and add it to rockbox.
