Rockbox Development > Starting Development and Compiling

Just made my first, very own build :)

(1/1)

twilightened:
I just wanted to thank all rockbox staff, for spending their time on this wonderful hobby of theirs, which i think somehow from the tip of it, i've also been a part of. I know nothing about programming, but being a long time pc user just helped me to apply a patch and compile of my own build, that fixed a problem with my Nano 2G, which in turn made me feel good about myself :)

By the way, this patch hasn't made its way to the final build yet, so is it the developers job to do this, or can i post this build to you, so you can put it on the site ?

Chronon:
Congratulations on building your own Rockbox.  :)

Generally, it's up to the author of the patch to get the code to conform to Rockbox standards.  If it is felt that a patch is a candidate for inclusion, then it can be brought up for discussion on IRC.

If you would like to make a build available that includes this patch, then such a build can be listed in the Unsupported Builds forum.
