Rock Box Default Start Up Selection
(1/1)
wildwild101:
Hi all,
Firstly, I would like to thank all the developers for the great work you have done on RockBox. It ROCKS :) :) :)
I personally think it would be much much better if the first selection/option when you first power up RockBox should be the "Resume Playback" option rather than the "Files" option as 99.99% of the time you would resume from the last song you played to minimize the number of key strokes.
In my case I have to scroll down twice and hit select every time I power up the Sansa C240 which is a pain in the neck ;(
Cheers.

Most targets should have a "play" button - if you press this in the main menu, it will resume playback. I don't know if/how that button is mapped on the c240.
Or you can go into Settings -> General Settings -> System -> Start screen and set Rockbox to resume playback automatically when started.

It is mapped (to a long press of Right) on the c200 series. Please take a look into our nice manual as linked from the left hand side menu, it has the details about the "Resume" button and the start screen option and many more...

Thanks for your replies.
I managed to find this option deep down in the user manual. Duh, should have read the manual first :)
