Nano2G "PANIC Stkov dircache" message during database auto update
« on: October 15, 2009, 06:29:22 PM »
I'm using r23198-091015 on my 8GB Nano 2G.  I've noticed that if I enable Directory Cache (General -> Disk -> Directory Cache -> Yes) and Auto Update (General -> Database -> Auto Update -> Yes), once Rockbox restarts after adding new music files in disk mode, I always get a

*PANIC*
Stkov dircache

message.  I then hold Menu and Select to reboot and the new files have been added correctly to the database, but clearly something is going wrong during the auto update.

Not sure if Flyspray is the correct place for this since Nano2G is not a stable build, but I can put this on there if that is the recommendation.

Flyspray is the correct place to report bugs on both stable and unstable ports.

In the meantime, since the message is "Stkov dircache", try disabling dircache and see if that helps.

Added FS#10679 for this.  Yes, disabling directory cache definitely makes the problem go away.
