H140 remote: possible to disable "skip to the next directory" ?
« on: October 14, 2009, 04:40:48 PM »
Hi all!
I must first say that I have been using RockBox for about 3 years now and I’m loving it.

I’m constantly using it to listen to my sound files for my school books and it is about 250 files in one folder. One thing that annoys me though is that all of a sudden I’m listening to the next folders first file. And I don’t have a clue to which file number I was listening to before. All thanks to a little touch on the bitrate button on the remote.

So now here goes is there a way to disable this function for the bitrate/source button. In other words disable the “skip to the next directory” and “skip to the previous directory” for the remote.
It is enough with such a small push to activate it. And it happens all the time.

I’m thinking of grinding the button down or cutting it of because it such a nuisance.;)

Thanks for all the help! :)

/Johannes

if you compile your own build it is easy to do, have a look for something like ACTION_WPS_NEXTDIR in apps/keymaps/keymap-h1xx3xx.c and find the line which also has BUTTON_RC_BITRATE (or whatever its called in the source) and comment out the line.

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.
