possible desktop client for Windows and OS X
« on: October 13, 2009, 10:44:42 PM »
I would love to see a desktop app built for rockbox that could automatically organize and keep music synced between one's computer and their rockbox player. Any shot of ever seeing this?

Rockbox is happy with files transferred as if it was a UMS / MSC device.

Basically, any app could readily provide support for Rockbox. This really isn't a "feature" of Rockbox that you're talking about here.

No it isn't just for users like me who have extremely large collections it becomes difficult to work with drag and drop and I was wondering if any programmer could throw together a really simple app that could make the process a little bit more handy.

The point is that Rockbox devices just appear as an external hard drive.  Any software that will sync between drives will do this for you - it doesn't need to be a Rockbox specific solution.

Also, why only Windows and OSX and not Linux?
