ok so i need help compiling a rockbox environment for my sansa fuze i'm just trying to add the infones patch but im not sure how to do it. and yes i have already looked at the simple guide to compiling yet it is very confusing for my feeble little mind :/

Are you using Cygwin or VMware?

If you describe which steps you are finding confusing you are more likely to get answers.

which is better cywgin or vmware? which is less complicated?

I don't think one is really much easier then the other, it just depends if you want to be using a virtual machine or running the compiler natively through a compatibility layer.  Most people don't use cygwin just because its slow.

ok then i'll be using vmware but how will i use it to add the infones patch (which i already have) then compile???
