Apple 1/2 Emulator?

If you can find one that is licensed under a GPL compatible licence, that is free of things like floating point maths and malloc, and then someone to do the work, then sure it is possible.

The only Apple I emulator that I've seen out there is in MESS: http://mess.redump.net/mess:drivers:apple1:apple1

However, MESS isn't GPL (it uses the MAME license), so we can't make use of it.

Vague Rant:
The old Cocoa Pom I emulator, written in Java, was GPL. It's still available here, last updated in 2004; can't say if that was the latest or not.
