your title is unhelpful and posting 3 ideas sequentially is not helpful either please elaborate or dont waste the Dev's valuable time

It's not really wasting anyone's time. This part of the forum is for feature ideas, and whilst I agree the post's content was pretty diabolical in terms of descriptiveness, it doesn't really hurt anyone.

I don't see anyone about to jump up and code it, but he's still posted it in the right place.

If you can find one that is licensed under a GPL compatible licence, that is free of things like floating point maths and malloc, and then someone to do the work, then sure it is possible.

The only Apple I emulator that I've seen out there is in MESS: http://mess.redump.net/mess:drivers:apple1:apple1

However, MESS isn't GPL (it uses the MAME license), so we can't make use of it.

The old Cocoa Pom I emulator, written in Java, was GPL. It's still available here, last updated in 2004; can't say if that was the latest or not.

Of course, which isn't really the same thing as "Java code is completely useless to us and can never provide any information or insight into development."

If someone was volunteering to write an emulator for Rockbox, then that would indeed be a useful reference, but since people are just asking others to port one for them, unless there's some suitable code that can be integrated into Rockbox with little effort, it's not gonna happen...

It's a not a simple task, but we can start by porting some simple Apple emulator. Will be a very big project.
