iPod Photo menu help
(1/1)
bba1973:
Hi,
Today, I accidentally messed up one of the menus without realizing it. Reformatting the hard drive, restoring it with iTunes, and reinstalling Rockbox were no help. The menu is the menu that pops up when you hold the menu key for a few seconds. Before this morning, the top key (menu key) wasn't mapped to anything, but apparently I mapped it to the "Show Files" option. Anyone know how to unmap it? I've looked all over, but I can't find anything on how to unmap that key to where I can hit menu to get out of it again.
If my description is too vague, let me know so I can clarify it.
Thanks for reading.

This is not you, but a Rockbox feature change :)
Rockbox used to only have three options on the quickscreen on the ipod; it now has four. Press the select button to exit the quickscreen, not the menu button.
If you want to map different settings to the quickscreen, read the manual :)

Thanks for the help. I read the manual before, but since I had no idea it was called the quickscreen, I didn't know what to look for. Adding a picture of the quickscreen feature to the manual in the appropriate section would be helpful. It's still a great manual though, and thanks to the people who worked hard on it and Rockbox (one of the few reasons why I own an iPod...).
Anyway, I wanted to map it to where I could press the menu button again to exit it, but apparently that's not going to happen. I did figure out that select gets you out of it, but it's just weird pressing one button to get in and another to get out. Not a big deal, just kind of weird, IMO.
All is well. Thanks again for your help, torne.
