How to completely remove rbutil?

The Firewall is that of Norton Internet Security, Windows Firewall is disabled. And no other application ever had this effect - looks like rbutil is eating up all bandwidth or so.

Is there a way to activate a log for rbutilqt to see what it is doing?

System is a XPSP2 box - pretty plain vanilla, I think.

There is a log (since 1.2.3) in the About / Troubleshoot menu, but you can only reach that if Rockbox Utility started up correctly. Nevertheless, it *can't* eat up all bandwidth (you can check this using the Task Manager's Network tab), it's downloading a few small (few kilobytes) configuration files, nothing else. I'd strongly recommend turning of the firewall and trying again.

Again, my impression is that some firewall software waits for user input (maybe something like the "block this application?" dialog of the Windows firewall) and block everything until the question is answered.
